Hogon-ji Temple
Hogon-ji Temple is dedicated to Benzaiten (Goddess of Music). Benzaiten in Hogon-ji Temple is referred to as one of 3 major Benzaitens in Japan together with Enoshima and Itsukushima. In addition, the temple is visited by many worshippers as the 30th temple of the Saigoku Kannon pilgrimage of 33 temples. The Karamon Gate (national treasure) which was moved from a part of the Gokurakumon Gate of Osaka Castle is the only remains of Osaka Castle. Various other treasures can be seen in the Homotsu Den (treasure hall).
