Area at the Western Foot of Mt. Ibuki (Japan Heritage)
The God of Water is said to live in Mt. Ibuki and has been revered since ancient times. Takigyo (the ascetic practice of meditation by sitting under a waterfall) has been practiced by mountain ascetics to obtain the power of this god since the Nara period (710 to 794) and large temples have been built on the mountain ridges.

[Parking] There is a parking lot (fee required) available in front of the trailhead (next to Sannomiya Shrine) in addition to parking lots in the surrounding area
